PITTSBURGH, Pa. – La Roche baseball began a four game home stand on Tuesday against Wooster, but fell to the Fighting Scots, 13-4.

Wooster was the first to strike, plating three runs in the top of the second inning to take the early lead.

The Redhawks wasted no time taking over the lead, scoring all four of their runs in the bottom of the second.

Tanner Schmitt, Brandon Snyder and Josh Dreyer all hit back-to-back-to-back RBI singles, Dreyer's going for two RBI, to give the lead to La Roche.

Unfortunately, the lead lasted just one inning, as the Scots crossed two in the fourth inning to regain the edge, then added two in the fifth, four in the seventh and two more in the ninth.

Aaron Exler took the hill, throwing 4.2 innings, allowing seven runs (four earned), eight hits, five walks and struck out two in the loss.

Four relievers combined to throw 4.1 innings, allowing six runs (five earned), five hits, five walks and struck out three.

Offensively, La Roche picked up nine hits, with DJ Loveland's 3-for-4 leading the way. Snyder also had a multi-hit game, going 2-for-5.

The Redhawks are right back in action tomorrow, Mar. 26 when they host Waynesburg for non-conference action at 3 p.m.
