Women's Basketball Defeats the Bobcats and Remains Undefeated in AMCC Conference Play

GREENSBURG, PA - Women's Basketball will remain undefeated in the AMCC after knocking down the Pitt-Greensburg Bobcats with a final score of 77-57. 

La Roche earned the lead early from the Bobcats. There were only 2 lead changes in one tie in the entire contest and they all occurred within the first period. La Roche held the lead for 37 minutes of the 40 minute contest. S

Makayla Abram led the offense going two-for-two at the three point line, and eight-for-thirteen overall. The sophomore earned 22 points, 8 rebounds and one block before the final buzzer had rung. 

Joining her in the double-digits club were the usual culprits of Danajah Sanders, and Machia Hairston. Sanders totaled 16 points and 3 assists, while Hairston netted 12 points, and won 8 rebounds. 

The Redhawks' best scoring run took place in the fourth and final quarter with 11 points. 

La Roche put up two-thirds of their points in the paint (48), and earned 14 points from their reserves. 

The team will be on the road once more, this time up against the Hilbert Hawks on Saturday, at 4 PM.
