Greensburg, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's basketball team struggled to score in the late portion of Saturday's contest at Pitt-Greensburg, turning a back and forth game into a 14 point loss. Despite leading the game with just over 7 minutes to go, the Panthers eventually lost the game 76-62.

Game notes:

• Both teams started off well defensively, as they split 3 steals and a block on 4 of the first 6 possessions.
• After a Bobcat lay-up, Gavin Boggs started the Panther offense on a lay-up of his own on a pass from Alex Rodriguez. He put Pitt-Bradford ahead a minute later when he hit a mid-range jump shot.
• The Panthers fell behind 14-9 with 11:24 to go in the first half but responded with 6 straight points in a minute to retake the lead. Parker Miles started the run with a three-pointer and then Daniel Lynch tied things up with a bucket inside. After picking up a steal, Lynch was fouled and made 1 of 2 from the line to go up 1 point. 
• Pitt-Bradford took their biggest lead of the half, 4 points, at the 6:38 mark on the strength of 4 consecutive Jeffrey Fry free throws.
• The Panthers were unable to erase the 4 point halftime deficit through the first 9 minutes of play in the second half as each Pitt-Bradford basket was answered by the Bobcats.
• They were able to tie the game at 47 with 10:31 in the game thanks to five straight points from Justin Kusiappouh. All 5 baskets followed offensive rebounds from Kusiappouh.
• Pitt-Bradford took the lead with 7:20 to go, on two Nick Carmichael free throws. 
• The lead did not last long as the Bobcats tied the game and retook the lead on the next possession. From that point, Pitt-Greensburg went on a 21-7 run to finish the game.

Leaders:

• Nick Carmichael was the Panthers leading scorer, finishing with 11 points. He also grabbed 11 rebounds.
• Alex Rodriguez was the only other Panther to finish in double figures, scoring 10 points 
• Daniel Lynch filled the stat sheet for the Panthers, finishing with 7 points, 6 assists, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals.

Pitt-Bradford is now 1-10 on the season with an 0-6 record in AMCC play. They will be right back in action on Wednesday, as they travel to Erie to take on Penn State-Behrend.
