Panthers Fall to Pitt-Greensburg in Conference Finale

Greensburg, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's soccer team saw its AMCC season come to a close on Saturday as they lost to Pitt-Greensburg 11-0.

The hosts got off to a quick start, opening the scoring with a goal in the 6th minute. After the early goal, senior keeper Emily Bethel did her best to keep the Panthers in the game. After the second goal, the Bobcats continued their assault on the Panther goal but were much more ruthless in their finishing. They scored three more goals before the break, sending the game into halftime with the hosts up 5-0.

The goals kept coming for the hosts in the second half. They added three more goals before the hour mark, pushing their lead to 8. The hosts were able to score three final foals in the last 15 minutes to finish the game with an 11-0 win.

Bethel finished the game with 18 saves, setting a new career-high for the senior keeper. 8 Panthers played the full 90 minutes in the field.
