Panthers Look to Avenge OT Loss in Crucial Matchup with Medaille

Bradford, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's basketball team will host the Medaille Mavericks on Wednesday night in a match-up that is crucial in their drive for post-season play.

The Panthers are 9-12 this season with a 4-8 record in AMCC competition. They are currently in a tie for 7th place in the conference, just one game out of a playoff spot. Over the weekend, the Panthers lost a tough matchup with Pitt-Greensburg, falling to the Bobcats 93-83. Isaiah Archie led the way with 21 points in the game. Nathan Schneider finished the game with 18 points and 13 rebounds, while Greg Archie also scored 18 and Trey Oyler added 15.

Isaiah Archie is leading the Panthers and the AMCC in scoring, as he averages 22.1 points per game. Archie is shooting 55.1% from the field this season. Nathan Schneider is just behind Archie, as he is 2nd in the AMCC in scoring with 21.0 points per game. He is also the league's top rebounder, grabbing 12.3 per game. He has recorded 15 double-doubles this season, including 8 in a row. Greg Archie is the final Panther to average double figures, as he scores 11.7 points per game. Trey Oyler is the AMCC's most efficient three-point shooter, leading the conference by making 52.9% of his shots from beyond the arc. He has made 11-13 in his last two games.

The Mavericks are 9-11 on the season with a 6-6 AMCC record. They are in 5th place in the AMCC standings. They enter the game coming off of an 87-78 victory at Hilbert on Monday. Rodney Graves leads the Mavericks with 18.1 points per game. he also is the team's top rebounder with 6.4 per contest. Kendall McGill scored 14.3 per game, and Jaqwan Washington adds 8.8 per game. 

In their last matchup, the Mavericks were able to erase a late Pitt-Bradford lead and score with 3 seconds left to force overtime. In the extra period, the hosts came out firing, winning the game 99-94. Nathan Schneider had 32 points and 16 rebounds in the game, while Isaiah Arche finished with 19 points. Greg Archie, Alex Rodriguez and Trey Oyler all added 11 points for the Panthers.

The following regulations will be in place to align with Pitt-Bradford's COVID-19 mitigation efforts for indoor events. All spectators, game staff, officials, and team members not actively participating on the court are required to wear a mask at all times. Masks must be affixed to cover the wearer's nose and mouth. All spectators will be required to sign in upon their entrance into the facility, as the lists will be used in any contact tracing efforts that may become necessary. They will be required to provide a name and contact phone number to game staff.

The game is scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. tip-off. In KOA Arena.
