ERIE, Pa.  – The Penn State Behrend women's soccer team shut out Allegheny 3-0 in non-conference action on Wednesday night.

Key Moments

* Behrend tallied one goal in the first half and then added two insurance goals in the second
* Angela Belack (Pittsburgh, PA/Upper St. Clair) got the Lions ahead with her first collegiate goal with 5:58 left to play in the opening half
* Christine Patterson (McKean, PA/General McLane) drove the ball from the corner to find Belack, registering her first collegiate assist
* Morgan Harding (Pittsburgh, PA/Carlynton) made three saves, three diving saves to keep the Gators off the board and secure the season-opening victory
* Moments before Belack scored, Harding made a save off a deflected ball that bounced off the cross bar and back to the feet of Hallie Johnson for Allegheny
* Harding also made back-to-back stops with 10 minutes left to play in the second half off shots from Emma Miller just near the 18 box
* Freshman Trinity Prestash (Phillipsburg, PA/West Branch) netted her first collegiate goal in the 48th minute to give the Lions a 2-0 lead
* Defender Ava Michael (State College, PA/State College) drove the ball from the end line into the box for Prestash to finish
* The final goal belonged to Karla Ochoa (Pharr, TX/IDEA Toros College Prepartory) on a direct kick from 30 yards out with 21 seconds left in the game

* The win marks the first victory for the Lions against Allegheny since 2000
