Women's Soccer Falls at Mount Aloysius

Cresson, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's soccer team dropped to 0-2 in AMCC play as they lost 6-0 to Mount Aloysius on Saturday.

The Panthers fell behind early, as the hosts were able to score three times in the opening 20 minutes. After the goals, the Panthers were able to make enough room to get two shots on target, but both were stopped by the Mountie Keeper.

Mount Aloysius added a 4th goal within 5 minutes of the restart and a 5th after the Panthers changed goalkeepers in the 68th. The final goal came in the closing seconds after another shot was blocked.

Emily Bethel started in goal for the Panthers. She made 8 saves in 68 minutes of action. Sadie Wood played the final 22 minutes, making 3 saves.

The Panthers were able to muster 7 shots in the game and put four of them on goal. Alexis Gibbons, Delaney Stowe, Kimberly Goodwin, and Alannah Allen all recorded shots on goal, while Cassidy King, Abigail Neri, and Kihara Gotshall had efforts that were off target.

The Panthers (0-8-1, 0-2 AMCC) are scheduled to return home for the next two contests. They will host Lycoming in a non-conference matchup on Sept. 30 at 4:00 p.m., and follow that up with a return to AMCC play as they host La Roche at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
