Carnegie Mellon Defeats Men's Soccer 5-1

PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Today, the men's soccer team traveled into Oakland to face the Carnegie Mellon Tartan's in their fourth non-conference match of the season. The Redhawks fell to 1-3 after losing to CMU for the second straight year. 

Goalkeeper Austin Gorman came out of the game in the 13th minute after allowing one goal and making four saves. Junior Garrett Berner subbed in for the first time all season and played the remainder of the contest. He allowed four goals and made six saves. Prior to the subsitution, Gorman had played the entirety of the Redhawks season. He ranks second in the AMCC in total saves (22) and sixth in save percentage (.733).

La Roche was outshot 5-32 (3-17 in shots on goal). Firas Abduljawad collected his 2nd yellow card in two games and scored the team's lone goal.
