Panthers to Host D'Youville in Penultimate Game of Season

Bradford, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's basketball team is set to host the Spartans of D'Youville College in their second to last contest of the season.

The Panthers enter the game searching for their first win in AMCC play. In their last contest, a home game against Mount Aloysius, the Panthers stuck with the Mounties for the opening 20 minutes, trailing by just 1 at halftime. After the break, the Mounties ran away from the Panthers, winning the game 66-49. Pitt-Bradford's Daniel Lynch led all scorers with 17 points and Nick Carmichael added 10. Carmichael is the leading scorer for the Panthers, averaging 12.4 points per game.

The Spartans are 4-19 on the season with a 3-15 record in the AMCC. They are coming off of a 12 point loss on the road at Franciscan. D'Youville has 5 players averaging double figures. Sophomore Will Saunders is the leading scorer, averaging 16.2 points per game. Devon Darrell averages 13.1, Darrius Hartzog scores 13.0, Grant Beyer adds 12.9 and Juan Miguel Rosales scores 11.8.

The Panthers struggled with the Spartans in their previous matchup. They fell behind early and were never able to make up the deficit, eventually losing the game 90-59. Dylan Meyer scored 15 points and grabbed 8 rebounds, while Nick Carmichael added 12 points.

The game is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m.
