Archie scored 32.5 points per game in the Panthers' final week of the 2021-22 season. In the Panthers' matchup with hilbert, he scored a season-high 39 points, making 13-of-16 from the field, 1-for-2 from three and 12-of-15 from the free throw line. He also added five assists. He shot 72.7% from the field and totaled seven rebounds, seven assists and points steals for the week.
The Penn State Behrend (12-3) men’s basketball team will host Penn State Altoona (13-2) on Saturday in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Game of the Week, as well as the regular-season finale to determine the rights to host the conference tournament.
Hannah led the Redhawks to a 2-0 record in conference play, improving their conference record to 8-5 as they sit in third place heading into the final week of conference play. Hannah, a freshman, netted 49 points this week, averaging 24.5 a game. He shot 75 percent from field goal range and had is first double-double on Saturday against Alfred State with 32 points and 13 rebounds. He also tallied 17 points, nine rebounds, two assists and two steals against Mount Aloysius earlier in the week. On the Week, Hannah averaged a double-double with 24.5 points and 11 rebounds per game.
Pitt-Greensburg will travel to Buffalo, NY on Saturday to take on Medaille College in the AMCC Men's Basketball Game of the Week. Both teams enter the game with 7-6 records and are tied for fourth place in confernce standings.
Penn State Altoona men’s basketball freshman center PJ Charles was recognized for his strong play during the month of January, as he was selected as the Eastern College Athletic Conference’s Division III South Region Rookie of the Month on Wednesday.
Harman had a great week to help the Lions pick up a pair of big AMCC wins to put the team in first place in the conference standings. In Wednesday night's AMCC Game of the Week road win at La Roche, the junior scored 13 points to go along with five rebounds and two steals. In Saturday's home win over Alfred State, he put up a season-high 27 points while shooting 12-for-15 from the floor, and he also had team-highs with eight rebounds, six assists, and three blocks while tallying two steals. On the week, Harman averaged 20.0 points per game while shooting 63.6% from the field, 6.5 rebounds per game, 3.0 assists per game, 2.0 steals per game, and 1.5 blocks per game
Schneider was nearly unstoppable for Pitt-Bradford last week as the shorthanded Panthers went 0-2. Schneider averaged 28.0 points and 13.0 rebounds per game as he played 78 of a possible 80 minutes for Pitt-Bradford. Schneider shot 56.4% from the field, including 36.4 from three, and went 8-for-11 from the line. He also added seven assists, two steals, and a block.
Gourley registered a double-double in wins against Alfred State and Mt. Aloysius. Gourley finished the week an even 50.0 percent from the field, tallying 42 total points for an average of 21.0 per contest. The senior forward was also perfect from the free-throw line, going 17-for-17. He also finished the week with 23 total boards for an average of 11.5 per game. Gourley's stat line for the week included 21.0 points, 11.5 rebounds, and 2.5 steals per game as the Behrend Lions remain the only undefeated team in conference play on the men's side this season.
Pitt-Bradford will travel to Pittsburgh, PA on Saturday afternoon to take on the La Roche University Redhawks in the AMCC Men's Basketball Game of the Week.
