Podvasnik hit four home runs last week and went 10 for 22 (.455 BA) with 14 RBIs and scored nine runs in six games. He hit a grand slam in a victory over Otterbein and hit three home runs in the AMCC Tournament. He also tied the school's single season home run record with his tenth of the season.

Wilt threw a gem as the Redhawks defeated the nation's #2 ranked team Frostburg State, 2-1. Wilt earned the complete game win and struck out 10 batters over seven innings of work. He allowed just seven baserunners to hand Frostburg State just their fourth loss of the season.
Jacob paced the Pitt-Greensburg offense last week, tallying a team-high 12 hits. The senior first baseman went 12 for 26 with five doubles, five runs scored, and seven RBI. He posted an impressive playoff performance in two wins over Pitt-Bradford, where he went 8-12 with three doubles, scored three runs, and picked up five RBIs while posting an .800 on base percentage and a 1.400 slugging percentage. He'd also add two school season records in the playoff sweep, collecting his 60th hit and 19th double to set new highs in both categories.
The first round of the 2015 AMCC baseball championship tournament has come to an end, with #3 Mt. Aloysius and #4 Pitt-Greensburg advancing to the championship round.
Mount Aloysius baseball players Connor Bowie and Brady Wright both earned national recognition on Tuesday as the juniors were both named to the D3baseball.com Team of the Week for their outstanding performances last week for the Mounties.
Wright led the Mounties off the mound this week recording a win and a save in two of the Mounties three key AMCC victories. He did not allow a run in three relief appearances, while holding opponents to a .111 batting average over 5.1 innings. Wright also struck out four in 1.2 innings of relief against Division II opponent IUP.
Bowie led the Mounties to a 3-1 week in conference play slugging an impressive 1.353. He broke the single season Mount Aloysius homerun record with his seventh of the year. He also singled in the winning run in the bottom of the 10th in against Pitt Bradford to secure the #3 seed for the upcoming AMCC Playoffs. Bowie's seven homeruns on the year ties him for first in the AMCC. He also leads the conference with 20 stolen bases and he sits in fifth in RBIs with 29.
Wilt threw a complete-game shutout and struck out seven batters in a victory over then second place Pitt-Bradford. He allowed just three hits and no extra-base hits in the win. Wilt is fourth in the AMCC with a 2.12 ERA and second with 46 strikeouts.
