AMCC Baseball Game of the Week: Medaille College @ Hilbert College (Tuesday, April 28 - 1:00 p.m.)

This week's AMCC Baseball Game of the Week features the Medaille Mavericks (11-17, 4-10 AMCC) vs. the Hilbert Hawks (7-22, 4-10 AMCC). This series has major playoff implications for the Mavericks, as they must sweep the Hawks in order to claim the #6 seed and earn a trip to the 2015 AMCC baseball tournament. If Medaille loses just one game in the series, then Penn St. Altoona will secure the #6 seed. 

Medaille is led by junior catcher Ryan Markiewicz who ranks third in the AMCC with a .429 batting average. Sophomore outfielder/catcher Daniel Luppens has 25 RBIs, while senior utility player Erik Balcerzak has hit in 24. Senior infielder Jake Tyno is tied for fourth in the conference with 11 stolen bases. Leading the way on the mound for the Mavericks is freshman Steven Hostinsky, who has three wins and a 4.21 ERA. 

Hilbert is led by senior second baseman Daniel Christmann, who ranks second in the conference with a .432 batting average and leads the Hawks with 19 RBIs and 16 runs scored. Senior Justin Hulbert and and sophomore Sal Carroccia have given the Hawks six of their seven wins on the mound. Each with three wins, Hulbert enters the game with a 4.66 ERA, and Carroccia a 4.79 ERA
