Kobak leads Tennis in close conference match on Senior Day
PITTSBURGH --- Carlow University women's tennis lost a close, 5-4, match to Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opponent Mount Aloysius College Sunday morning.
Prior to the match at Alpha Tennis & Fitness, the Celtics celebrated seniors Josie Kobak and Karissa Miller.

Kobak celebrated senior day by leading the Celtics (1-5, 1-3 AMCC) with wins in the No. 3 doubles and No. 5 singles spots over the Mounties (4-5, 1-3 AMCC).
The duo of Kobak and Sophia Hernandez won their doubles match, 8-5.
Kobak took her singles match to a third set tiebreaker, playing almost two straight hours of tennis.
She won the first set, 6-4, but fell 7-5 in the next set. Kobak rallied and won the tie-break set, 11-9.
It was close competition in all matches on the day, but a few other Celtics came out on top.
Jensen Stolitza swept the No. 4 singles match, 6-0/6-0, and Sophia Hernandez picked up her second singles win of the season, 6-1/6-0 in the No. 6 spot.
The Celtics travel to Pitt Greensburg for a 2:30 p.m. AMCC match Oct. 7.
