Entire Women’s Basketball team contributes to 100-point victory

PITTSBURGH --- Carlow University women's basketball picked up its first win of the season, a lopsided 113-15 victory over Wells (N.Y.) College in an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference matchup Saturday at Donahue Pavilion.

The last time the Celtics (1-3, 1-1 AMCC) scored 100 points was in a 101-33 exhibition against the Community College of Allegheny County last season on Nov. 5, 2022.

Prior to that, Carlow defeated Point Park University, 104-100, on Jan. 3, 2007.

The 98-point margin of victory today is one of the largest in recent history.

Every single athlete dressed for the game saw playing time and scored at least one basket to contribute to the win.

Emma Aubrey tallied seven of Carlow's nine treys to lead the team with 21 points. She made it a double-double by picking up 10 boards and added two steals and an assist. It was a repeat performance for Aubrey, who scored 21 points in the same fashion last season against CCAC.

Shaelyn Clark contributed 20 points, five steals and four assists, while Emari Stinnette landed a double-double with 12 points and 14 rebounds.

Brianna Evans scored 10 points off the bench, while Syndey Carr and Elena Butler dished out eight assists apiece. Carr also picked up seven steals.

Carlow did not allow the Express (0-5, 0-2 AMCC) to score a single point in the fourth quarter.

The Celtics outrebounded Wells, 67-37, and scored 51 points off 34 Express turnovers.

Carlow returns to action with a 7 p.m. game at Pitt Greensburg Dec. 6.
