Men’s Soccer concludes North Carolina road trip with loss at NCAA DII Shaw

DURHAM, N.C. --- Carlow University men's soccer lost, 5-0, to NCAA DII Shaw University on the road Tuesday.

The Bears (2-0-1) out-shot the Celtics, 28-3. Sudesh Tiwari put Carlow's lone shot on goal in the 71st minute.

Shaw put a point on the board within the first three minutes of action, tacking on two more at 21' and 42' to take a 3-0 lead into halftime.

Shaw added a goal at 56' and its final goal off a corner kick in the 68th minute.

Goalkeeper Kevin Garcia was tabbed with the loss after stopping 12 shots in the complete game effort.

The Celtics return to action Sept. 13 when they host Georgetown (Ky.) for a 4 p.m. game at Montour Junction Sports Complex in Coraopolis.
