Pioneers Could Not Overcome Late Surge By Gators

Meadville, PA- Victoria Stuck tallied ASC lone goal as the Pioneers could not overcome a late rally against Allegheny. Alfred now sits at 0-1-1 on the year.

Sierra Schofield played all 90 minutes in goal and tallied ten saves. Karlee Hargather came away with the assist on Stuck's goal.

Alfred hit the ground running, netting the match's first goal in the second minute. After a Jena Scehlble tackle high up the pitch, she passed to Hartgather, who was waiting in the middle of the field. Hartgather passed over to Stuck in the box for the goal and the 1-0 lead.

The Pioneer held on to the lead through the first half. But the Gators found their offense late, netting four unanswered goals to win the game 4-1.

The Pioneers will return home to Pioneers Stadium this Saturday, September 9th, at 1 p.m. to take on SUNY Cobleskill.
