Panthers Return Home in Search of First Win

Bradford, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's soccer team will return to the Kessel Athletic Complex for the first time since their season opener as they will host Alfred University on Wednesday.

The Panthers have gotten off to a difficult start as they have lost each of their first 3 contests. Pitt-Bradford lost a pair of games over the weekend as they were able to stay within shouting distance of Saint Vincent and Bethany early, before allowing a few goals in the final minutes. Sadie Wood has started each game in goal for the Panthers, making 40 saves in 3 games. Delaney Stowe has the lone goal on the season for Pitt-Bradford, as she converted a penalty kick in the opener. Kihara Gotshall has been a mainstay for the Panthers, playing every minute of the season at centerback.

The Alfred Saxons are 1-2 on the season and enter the matchup after a 5-1 defeat to Rochester. Jacey Palmgreen and Kayla Silverstein have scored the Saxon goals this campaign, with Silverstein's tally giving Alfred their season-opening win over SUNY Brockport. Kiani Barnard-Pratt has started each game for Alfred. She has made 11 saves and has 1 shutout.

The game is scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m. on the soccer field at the Kessel Athletic Complex. For those unable to attend, links for livestats and a live stream can be found on the Pitt-Bradford athletics website
