Panthers Set to Host Lycoming

Bradford, Pa -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's soccer team will host Lycoming College on Thursday afternoon, wrapping up its first month of play for the 2021-22 season.

The Panthers enter the match after a tough start to the season as they are 0-8-1 through 9 games. The Panthers have seen much better results on their home pitch, where they have a 0-2-1 record with two close losses to Alfred State and Bethany.

Newcomers Carolelyn LaPrairie and Delaney Stowe have led the Panthers' offense, each scoring 2 goals this campaign. Stowe also leads in shots, with 10, and has added an assist. Emily Bethel has played the majority of minutes for the Panthers, starting all 9 games. She has made 74 saves, which is the second-highest tally in the AMCC.

Lycoming enters the match with a 6-3 record and is coming off of a 1-0 loss against Widener. Junior Bella Green has led the Warriors with 9 goals and 6 assists. Senior Jayden Leighow has also had a large role in Lycoming's offensive attack, scoring 6 goals and assisting on 4 more. The Warriors have split time in goal evenly between three players, as each has started 3 games. Jess Riordan leads the team in saves with 21, and shots faced, with 27. Bekki Weller has not allowed a goal in 238 minutes played.

The contest is scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m. on the Soccer Field at the Kessel Athletic Complex.
