Panthers to Host Penn State-Dubois Thursday Night

Bradford, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's basketball team will look to move to 2-0 on Thursday night when they host Penn State-DuBois in KOA Arena.

The Panthers enter the game with a 1-0 record after erasing a 16 point deficit to win their season opener 72-61 over Houghton. A trio of freshmen led the way for the Panthers, scoring 46 points in the victory. Hannah Lary was the team's leading scorer on the night, finishing with 21 points. Fellow freshmen Alexa Ackerman and Cailey Barnett also reached double figures, finishing with 12 and 13 respectively. Junior Cassidy King was a force on the boards, grabbing 18 rebounds. She also chipped in 7 points.

Penn State-DuBois will be playing their first game of the season. Lexey Schick is the leading returning scorer for the Lions. She averaged 10.7 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.3 assists for Penn State-DuBois in the 2019-20 campaign. Cierra O'Shell also returns for the Lions. She averaged 8.2 points per game.

The following regulations will be in place to align with Pitt-Bradford's COVID-19 mitigation efforts for indoor events. All spectators, game staff, officials, and team members not actively participating on the court are required to wear a mask at all times. Masks must be affixed to cover the wearer's nose and mouth. All spectators will be required to sign in upon their entrance into the facility, as the lists will be used in any contact tracing efforts that may become necessary. They will be required to provide a name and contact phone number to game staff.

Tip-off for the game is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
