Steubenville, OH. -- With multiple players unavailable due to injury, and a congested game schedule, the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's basketball team struggled to find production in their Saturday afternoon game at Franciscan. The Panthers lost the game 71-36.

Game Notes:

• The Panther offense got off to a good start, as both teams scored 8 points in the first 4:21. Cassidy King got things started with a three-pointer on a feed from Jenna Hicks. Following a few uneventful possessions, La'Shyra Williams was able to knock down a jumper and a minute later she fed Ashley Hall for another three to tie the game. The Panther offense was shut down for the next 5 minutes, as they were only able to score one basket, a Hall jumper in the remainder of the first.
• Daizjah Brown knocked down two free throws to begin the second but the Panthers were unable to build on the free throws as the Barons added to their lead. Williams hit two more free throws with 5 minutes to go in the half, and Hall made the lone basket from the field in the quarter, a jumper with 53 seconds remaining in the second. 
• After the break, the Panthers scored 5 quick points through another Hall three and a Williams jump shot, but their opponents outscored them 25-9 throughout the quarter to increase their lead. 
• In the 4th, Williams scored 7 of Pitt-Bradford's 11 points, with Brown and Hicks adding late baskets. At the same time, The Barons answered each basket with one of their own and shut out the Panthers for the final 2:48.

Leaders:

• La'Shyra Williams was the Panther's leading scorer, finishing with 13 points. She made 5 of 10 from the field. She also led the team in rebounds with 8 and steals with 4.
• Ashley Hall also finished in double-figures, scoring 10 points. She made 4 of 9 shots, including both three-pointers she attempted.

The loss moves the Panthers to 2-17 on the season with a 2-10 record in conference play. They will have a bye for the midweek contests and return to action next Saturday against Pitt-Greensburg. Tip-off is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
