Panthers drop one to Behrend, 4-0

ERIE, Pa. – The Pitt-Bradford baseball team took on Penn State Behrend and fell to the Lions 4-0.

The game got off to a slow start as neither team got on the board through the first three innings.

The first score of the game came in the bottom of the fourth as Penn State Behrend put up three runs in the inning on only one hit.

The game was put on hold briefly as rain came in to delay the game in the middle of the fourth inning. The Panthers walked four batters in the inning and gave up one error.

The Lions scored one more in the bottom of the fifth after two hits led to them scoring on a double play to push their lead to 4-0.

The Panthers offense could not get going in this one as they only posted five hits for the game.

The second game wasn't played as more rain came in to Erie. No makeup date has been announced yet.
