PLAYER OF THE WEEK: La Roche G Machia Hairston recorded two double-doubles last week, including a season-high 25 points against PS-Altoona, to keep the Redhawks a perfect 8-0 in conference play. In a win over PS-Altoona, she recorded 25 points, 13 rebounds, and an assist. On Saturday against Pitt-Bradford, Hairston picked up her second double-double on the week with 21 points, 17 rebounds, three blocks, and two assists. The senior averaged 23.0 points, 15.0 rebounds, 1.5 blocks, and 1.5 assists per game. Hairston went 17-for-34 on the week, for a 50% shooting percentage from the field. 

 

BEST OF THE REST: Alfred State F Faith McCombs continued her season full of double-doubles, as she tallied 14 points and 16 boards in the loss to PS-Behrend, and followed that up with a career game when she poured in 22 points and grabbed 21 rebounds against Pitt-Greensburg, as she is now tied for fifth place on the Alfred State single game rebound record book...Pitt-Greensburg G Melina Maietta averaged 21.5 points over two games and had a week-high of 28 in a win against Alfred State on Saturday, as she tied the school record with seven three pointers made in a game on Saturday, she shot close to 42 percent from behind the arc on the week while also averaging 5.5 rebounds per game...Hilbert G Ashley Schroeder continues to pace the Hawks as they went undefeated in back-to-back road games last week, she averaged 21 points per game and put on identical offensive performances, going 9-for-21 from the floor and hitting a pair from the foul line, while also pulling down eight rebounds and dishing six assists in Hilbert's 55-52 victory over UPB...PS-Behrend SO Rachel Majewski averaged 19.5 points in a pair of AMCC wins this week, as she scored 18 points vs. Alfred State and then dropped a team-high 21 points at Mt. Aloysius, while also adding five assists, three rebounds and three steals on the week.
