PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Hilbert G Emily Gawlak led the Hawks to a pair of victories, one in the AMCC Game of the Week. She tossed in 22 points along with eight rebounds, four assists and four steals to become the Hawks all-time scoring leader against Pitt-Bradford on Feb 12. Gawlak closed the weekend with 20 points and five rebounds in Hilbert's victory over La Roche. For the week, she shot 41.9-percent from the floor, including an impressive 45.5-percent (5-for-11) beyond the arc and 91.7 percent (11-12) from the foul line. She was whistled for only two fouls in 74 minutes of action while sitting at the top of the league with 2.4 steals per game. She continues to lead the AMCC in scoring at 18.0 points per game.

 

BEST OF THE REST: Pitt-Greensburg F Shaquoia McCray helped guide Pitt-Greensburg to wins over Mt. Aloysius and Alfred State, she posted a double-double in both contests and averaged 15 points and hauled down 18 rebounds, including 18 points and 17 rebounds at Mt. Aloyisus, and then tallied 12 points 19 rebounds against Alfred State...D'Youville G Danielle Hore had another impressive week for the Spartans as the team went undefeated and improved their winning streak to three games, as she began the week by scoring a season-high 26 points and adding 12 rebounds in the team's 65-55 win over Alfred State on Wednesday, and followed that up by recording 16 points and six rebounds in the win over Franciscan on Saturday...PS-Altoona G/F Alexis Cannistraci had a consistently solid week for the Lady Lions, posting her eighth and ninth double-doubles of the season, as she scored 15 points, grabbed 11 rebounds, blocked five shots, and distributed four assists in a non-conference loss to Grove City, and then finished with 19 points, 12 rebounds, six blocks, two assists, and one steal againt conference foe PS-Behrend...Pitt-Bradford G Shirleah Ragin averaged 17.5 points and 6.0 rebounds per game in a 1-1 week for the Panthers, as she shot 46.2% from the field, 50% from beyond the arc and made 8-of-9 from the line, she was a major force in Pitt-Bradford's win over Mount Aloysius, scoring a season-high 22 points, grabbing nine rebounds, dishing out four assists and recording three steals....La Roche F Dasja Anderson averaged 17.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.0 steals in two games last week while shooting 59% (13-for-22) from the floor and 82% (9-11) from the free throw line...Medaille F Morgan Kennedy had an outstanding performance against Penn State-Behrend, collecting 24 points and seven rebounds, as she totaled 20 or more points in a game for the tenth time this year, while also adding two assists and three steals...Franciscan G Abby Baierl had a strong week, unfortunately for the Lady Barons it came in two losses, as she averaged 17.0 points per game while shooting 38.5% from three, including 24 points against D'Youville with four made threes...PS-Behrend G Kara Haslett averaged 15.5 points per game in two AMCC wins this week, tying her season-high 17 points, in a 69-55 win over Medaille on Wednesday, while also recording a steal with six seconds remaining in the game against Altoona on Saturday to secure the Lions 71-68 win...Mount Aloysius G Carly Stigers produced 14.5 points per game on the week, while shooting over 50% from the field and from beyond the arc, she recorded an efficient 19 points in a loss to Pitt-Greensburg, going 7-10 from the field and 3-5 from three.
