Penn State Altoona women’s basketball rolls into Erie on Saturday riding a five-game AMCC win streak, as the Lions hold a perfect 5-0 conference record. Freshman guard Jess Burns and freshman forward Avana Sayles are tied for the team lead in scoring, as each player averages 13.5 points per game. Burns is second in the AMCC in three-pointers made (33) and three-point field goal percentage (43.4) while also being sixth in total field goal percentage (45.9) and eighth in assists (43), while Sayles is fourth in total rebounds (130) and rebounds per game (8.7) and fifth in field goals made (89). Meanwhile, senior guards Sarah Huston and Emma Kitko have also helped to lead the charge with strong performances this season. Huston ranks first in the AMCC in steals (50) and assists (79), second in free throw percentage (83.3), and 13th in points per game (11.9), while Kitko is fourth in three-point field goal percentage (36.0), fifth in three-pointers made (31), and 21st in points per game (8.5).

The Behrend Lions enter the weekend on a three-game winning streak, as the Lions have held their opponents to an average of 50.0 points in those three games. Last time out, Behrend posted a 40-point win over Hilbert on Wednesday. The Lions are outscoring opponents by 15.6 points per game in the 16 contests played. Behrend has three players rank in the top five for scoring in the AMCC. Sophomore guard Rachel Majewski continues to lead the league in points per game (19.3) and Morgan Altavilla moved up to third (17.0 ppg), while Madison Boyer is fourth (16.3). Boyer is also first in field-goal percentage (50.8) and three-point field-goal percentage (44.4)
