PITT-BRADFORD'S RINFRETTE AND LA ROCHE'S MITCHELL NAMED NAMED D3HOOPS.COM ALL-REGION SELECTIONS

Pitt-Bradford junior guard Ali Rinfrette and La Roche College senior forward TiChina Mitchell were named to the 2016-17 D3hoops.com All-Great Lakes Region team on Monday.

Rinfrette, named to the second team, was named the AMCC women's basketball Player of the Year after ranking second in the AMCC in scoring at 21.6 points per game and leading the conference in total points (584), field goals made (203), three-pointers made (71) and three-point field goal percentage (38.4). She also ranked in the top 10 in several other categories, including minutes played (900), free throws made (104), defensive rebounds (89), total rebounds (189), assists (81), and steals (75). Her 38 points at home against D'Youville on Jan. 9 were a Pitt-Bradford single-game record, and she drilled a program-record eight three-pointers against Hilbert on Jan. 18.

Mitchell, named to the third team, consistently ranked among the nation's leaders in scoring the past two seasons. She ranked seventh this year at 22.7 points per game and ninth last year at 21.5 points per game. Mitchell finished her career as the school's eighth leading scorer (1,079 points) and the leader in points per game. Mitchell conclude's her career as one of the most decorated athletes at La Roche. In addition to her acheivements listed above, she is a four-time AMCC Player of the Week, a National Player of the Week and two-time AMCC All-Conference performer.
