AMCC Women's Basketball Game of the Week:
Penn St. Behrend Lions @ Pitt-Bradford Panthers
Wednesday, January 27 at 8:00 p.m.

As the basketball season enters the final week of January, the AMCC women's basketball game of the week features two teams fighting for one of the top playoff spots. The third-place Penn St. Behrend Lions (9-9, 7-4 AMCC) travel to Bradford, PA to take on the second-place Pitt-Bradford Panthers (12-5, 8-2 AMCC).

Behrend is looking to get back on track against Pitt-Bradford after a seven-point loss at home earlier this season. The Lions are 5-2 in conference play during the month of January. Behrend continually outrebounds their opponents, ranking first in the AMCC with 48.2 rebounds per game in conference play. The Lions are led by sophomore forward Dani Reinwald who averages a double-double per game this season. She scores 13.1 points and brings in 11.8 rebounds per game. She ranks second in the conference in rebounds per game, but holds the top spot in offensive boards per game with 4.6. Sophomore guard Erika Woll controls the Behrend offense. She averaged 16.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 3.3 steals in a 2-1 week for the Lions last week, including the go-ahead basket and final two free throws to defeat Hilbert 59-56.

The Pitt-Bradford women’s basketball team looks to continue its success in AMCC play with a showdown with Penn State Behrend in the KOA Arena. Sophomore guard Ali Rinfrette leads the Panthers with an impressive 20.6 points per game (3rd in the AMCC) and 7.6 rebounds per game in 17 contests. Junior guard Kaserra Owens follows, averaging 10.8 points per game while senior guard Abby Brate rounds out the Panthers' scoring in double figures with 10.6 points per game. Offensively, the Panthers are second in the conference with 73.4 points per game and are giving up just 59.1 points per game in conference play. The Panthers have also forced a conference-best 23.8 turnovers per game, including out of conference play.
