The Penn State Behrend baseball team was honored with this year's American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Team Academic Excellence Award. This award recognizes teams coached by ABCA members that posted a GPA over 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for the 2016-17 academic year.

All institution sport teams which compete for an AMCC championship may select one member from their team who displays good sportsmanship throughout the season to be a member of the All-AMCC Sportsmanship Team.

Lazor hit .556 (10 for 18) with a home run, six RBI, five runs and two walks as the Redhawks earned their fourth straight AMCC Championship. Lazor, a senior, was a part of all four championship teams.
