Bradford, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's basketball team lost its final contest of the Fall semester, falling to Pitt-Greensburg 105-52.

  • The Panthers fell behind right away as the guests were able to score on a layup on their opening possession. Pitt-Greensburg quickly answered the Barnett three with four straight, but Barnett made back-to-back baskets to put the Panthers down 8-7 three minutes in.
  • The Bobcats clamped down on the Panther offense after the Barnett field goals, keeping Pitt0Bradford off the board for the next 4:21. As they held the Panthers scoreless, the Bobcats scored 16 straight to expand their advantage to 24-7. Avery Benzel and Barnett made a free throw each to slow the run, and Benzel hit a three-pointer of her own to finish the Panther scoring in the first.
  • The second quarter saw the Panthers unable to slow down the Pitt-Greensburg attack, as the Bobcats shot 70% from the field while scoring 35 points in the quarter. Ashley Hall was able to step up for the Panthers as she scored 8 points of her own in the quarter. Hall made two three-pointers and a layup inside.
  • The second half saw much of the same, as the Panthers were unable to build momentum, while their visitors continued to add to their lead over both quarters. Hall scored 5 points in the 3rd and 6 more in the 4th to lead the Panthers.

Ashley Hall was the leading scorer for Pitt-Bradford, as she set a new career-high with 19 points. She made 6-17 from the field, 3-9 from three, and made all four free throws she attempted.
