Behrend Men's Tennis Takes Two From Mt. Aloysius

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's tennis team earned a pair of wins over Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) foe Mt. Aloysius 9-0 in match one and 8-0 in the nightcap on Saturday afternoon.

Records: Penn State Behrend (8-5, 4-0 AMCC), Mt. Aloysius (1-12, 0-6 AMCC)

Key Moments:

* The Lions remain undefeated in AMCC play and improve to 4-0
* Behrend would have swept every match, but the No. 2 singles in match two went unfinished
* The same six players completed for the Lions in both matches
* Akash Sangha (Milton, Ontario/White Oaks) was playing at No. 2 singles in the second match and recorded three wins on the day
* Behrend gave up 11 set points in the nine matches in the first match and only four set points in the second match
* Jonathon Laier (Lansing, MI/Holt) and Sangha made up the duo that posted identical 8-2 scores at No. 1 doubles
* Owen Sinnott (Erie, PA/Collegiate Academy) and Aidan Piazza (Fairview, PA/Fairview) were also doubles winners in both matches, claiming 8-2 and 8-0 victories
* Luke Vunora (Natrona Heights, PA/Highlands) and William Thomas (Greensburg, PA/Greensburg Salem) at blanked their opponents in the match one and then won by default in the second
* Behrend continued the dominance into the singles matches
