BEHREND VOLLEYBALL COMPLETES UNDEFEATED CONFERENCE SEASON WITH SIXTH AMCC TITLE

Penn State Behrend capped a 10-0 run in conference play on Sunday with a 3-0 win over Alfred State College, earning their sixth AMCC championship and the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.

In defending their 2019 title, the Lions (22-5) dropped only one set in 10 conference matches.

Behrend's Kristin Reiland and Brooke Joncas each tallied double-digit kills for Behrend. Reiland continues to lead in the attack with 15 kills on 21 attempts with two errors for a .619 attack percentage. Joncas hit .476 and had one miscue for 11 kills on 21 attempts to go with five digs and three service aces.

Alfred State, making their first appearance in the AMCC post-season, saw a standout effort from Kiara Perkins with nine kills and nine digs.  Faith  McCombs had seven kills, Keturah Gregory chipped in six kills, and Nayomie Ferrer passed out 25 assists. Alfred State hit only .082 on the day.  The #2 seeded Pioneers' only loss in the conference regular season came vs. Behrend.  They finished the season with an 18-3 record.

The NCAA tournament seeding, pairings and schedule will be announced Monday.
