Two of the top teams in the AMCC will clash this weekend as the women's volleyball teams open up conference play on Saturday afternoon. Defending conference champion Pitt-Bradford travels to Mount Aloysius College to take on the Mounties to open the season in the AMCC Game of the Week. 

Pitt-Bradford, winners of the 2018 AMCC title, enter conference play with an even 8-8 overall record. Junior OH Emily Cleveland leads the Panthers with 3.03 kills per set and 182 total kills. Junior MH Katie Treat ranks fourth in the AMCC with 0.79 blocks per set, while junior L Lauren Hildebrand leads her team with 4.03 digs per set. The Panthers have their past two matches, picking up 3-2 wins over Allegheny and Fredonia.

Mount Aloysius boasts one of the best starts in program history at 9-5. They currently have the best record among AMCC teams. The Mounties are led by junior OH Machala Gibbons, who leads the league in kills per set (3.98) and is second in total kills (195). Junior L Kylee Clawson also leads the league in digs per set at 5.72. Senior S Emma Pevarnik holds the top spot in assists per set (9.10). The Mounties are currently 3-0 at home on the year, heading into Saturday's AMCC opener.
