REILAND, CLEVELAND SHARE WVB PLAYER OF THE YEAR HONORS

Penn State Behrend sophomore OH Kristin Reiland and Pitt-Bradford junior OH Emily Cleveland have been named 2019 AMCC Women's Volleyball Co-Players of the Year. 

Reiland led the Behrend offense and helped guide them to an AMCC regular season title, as well as a conference tournament championship. She finished the regular season ranked fifth overall and fourth in AMCC matches in kills per set. She also ranked 10th overall and fifth in AMCC matches in attack percentage, and ranked sixth overall and second in AMCC matches in aces per set. Reiland also finished the season ranked fourth overall and second in AMCC matches in points per set.

Cleveland stepped up in a big way this season and led the offensive attack for the Panthers in 2019. She topped the conference in kills (134), kills per set (4.19), and points per set (4.7) against conference opponents. She also chipped in on the defensive end with 27 digs and 10 total blocks. For the season, she totaled 335 kills, 29 aces and 41 total blocks against all opponents. She recorded double digit kills in all but one AMCC match this year.  

Penn State Altoona freshman OH Lydia Mock has earned Newcomer of the Year honors. Mock put together a great freshman season with the Lady Lions. In the AMCC, she ranks eighth in digs per set (3.94), 11th in kills per set (2.42) and points per set (2.9), 13th in digs (264), 22nd in points (195.0), and 23rd in kills (162), hitting percentage (.155), and service aces per set (0.33). Lydia was also named the AMCC Player of the Week one time this season.

Coach of the Year honors goes to Penn State Behrend head coach Phil Pisano. Pisano led the Lions to a perfect 10-0 record in AMCC play on their way to claiming their fifth conference championship in program history.
