No. 15 WESLEYAN NIPS BEHREND WOMEN'S SOCCER IN FIRST ROUND

The 15th-ranked Wesleyan University (15-1-2) women's soccer team scored an early second half goal to defeat Penn State Behrend (19-2) 1-0 in the first round of the NCAA Division III Tournament on Saturday morning.

Welseyan's Remi Feuerman tallied a goal in the 50th minute to get Wesleyan into the second round on Sunday. Feuerman scored her second goal of the season shortly after halftime to break the scoreless game, as it was the first time the Lions have given up a goal in 11 games. The first half had even play with both teams generating opportunities to score with Wesleyan holding a 21-8 advantage in shots. Behrend GK Morgan Harding made eight saves on 21 shots from Wesleyan to keep the Lions the contest. 

The Lions finish the season with a program record at 19-2
