SIX AMCC SCHOOLS RECOGNIZED AS NTCA ALL-ACADEMIC TEAMS

Six AMCC bowling programs were honored for their academic success on Friday, when the National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) released its 2019-20 All-Academic Team awards. Leading the AMCC was La Roche University, which finished with the highest cumulative team GPA among all D3 schools and fourth highest in all of the NCAA. 

The Redhawks were the highest-ranking school from the AMCC, as their 3.733 GPA was fourth-highest out of the 57 teams that were recognized. Hilbert College and Penn State Altoona tied for the 17th spot, each with a 3.56 team GPA. Mount Aloysius College's 3.51 GPA earned them the 26th spot, while Penn State Behrend came in at 32 with a 3.48 GPA. New Jersey City University rounded out the AMCC schools with a 3.301 GPA.

The National Tenpin Coaches Association recognizes NCAA bowling teams that excel academically each year. Programs must have a cumulative team GPA of a 3.2 or higher for the academic school year. For the 2019-2020 academic school year, 57 bowling programs achieved a cumulative team GPA of 3.2 or higher. The 2019-2020 highest team GPA award goes to Adelphi University with 3.82 cumulative GPA.
