MOUNT ALOYSIUS HEAD BOWLING COACH BARB JONES NAMED TO NCAA WOMEN'S BOWLING COMMITTEE

Mount Aloysius College head women's bowling coach Barb Jones has been named to serve on the NCAA Women's Bowling Committee. 

Jones is entering her fourth year at the helm of the Mountie bowling program. She led the program to the AMCC regular season title in 2015-16, 2016-17, and 2017-18, while winning the AMCC championsip tournament in 2016. Jones guided Rayissa Amon to three Player of the Year Awards (2016, 2017, 2018), as well as the Newcomer of the Year in 2016. In three years, Jones has compiled an NCAA record of 153-96.
 
Her responsibilities on the committee include participating in periodic teleconferences regarding championship administration, rankings and other various topics related to committee work; ranking and selecting teams based on the approved selection criteria; selecting the host institutions for regional and national competition; serving as the NCAA site representative for regional competition; attending the national championship as a member of the committee; and participating in annual meetings to review and vote on policies surrounding the championship.
 
Joining Jones on the committee are Robert "Tony" ONeal (Bethune Cookman University), Karen Grygiel (Monmouth University), Glenn White (Prairie View A & M University), Loree McCary (Stephen F. Austin University), James Washington (Virginia Union University).
