PLAYER OF THE WEEK: PS-Altoona G/F Alexis Cannistraci had a terrific week for the Lady Lions, helping her team go 2-0 in a pair of AMCC games while averaging a double-double. In Wednesday night's win over Pitt-Greensburg, she totaled 13 points, 10 rebounds, three blocks, two steals, and two assists. In Saturday's victory against Alfred State, she grabbed a career-high 18 rebounds while scoring 15 points, recording four steals, blocking three shots, and dishing out two assists. On the week, Cannistraci averaged 14.0 points per game, 14.0 rebounds per game, 3.0 blocks per game, 3.0 steals per game, and 2.0 assists per game.

 

BEST OF THE REST: Pitt-Greensburg F Maddie Sitler helped propel the Bobcats to a 1-1 record, which included a win over previously unbeaten D'Youville, as she averaged 19.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, and shot 50% from the field, making 17-of-34 in the two games...Medaille F Morgan Kennedy scored 21 points on Wednesday against Hilbert and then added 19 points against Mt. Aloysius on Saturday, as she shot nearly 90% on the week only missing three total shots, while also adding nine rebounds, three blocks, and two steals during the week...Hilbert G Taylor Corts, who continues to lead the AMCC in scoring, averaged 16.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks per game as the Hawks went 2-0 in AMCC action, as she knocked down 10 3-pointers (50%) and went 80% from the foul line, lifting Hilbert to 3-1 in league standings...PS-Behrend F Kourtney Beamesderfer led the team with a career-high 19 points against D’Youville on Wednesday, as she recorded nine field goals and one three pointer, while also chipping in with three rebounds, one assist, and two steals...D'Youville G Danielle Hore turned in another strong week to help improve the Spartans to 3-1 in conference play, as she began the week with a 22-point performance against Penn State-Behrend in the AMCC Game of the Week last Wednesday, and then followed up with 15 points, five rebounds, five steals, and five assists in the team’s loss to Pitt.-Greensburg on Saturday...La Roche F Dasja Anderson tied her career-high with 20 points on nearly perfect shooting performance in a 72-47 victory over Pitt Bradford last Saturday, as she went 8-for-10 (80%) from the field and 2-for-2 from beyond the arc, while also picking up a game-high four steals, a team-high six rebounds and tacked on three assists while only committing two turnovers...Franciscan F Estelle Leon averaged a double-double for the week, as she scored 10 points and pulled down 10 rebounds in the Lady Barons first conference win at Mount Aloysius, and then followed it up with 19 points and 13 rebounds off the bench in a tight game against Hilbert...Pitt-Bradford G Shaelyn Snipes averaged a double-double in two losses for the Panthers, as she scored 13.0 points per game and averaged 10.5 rebounds per contest, recording her first career double-double against Alfred State, scoring 10 and grabbing 12 rebounds...Mount Aloysius G Zoe Harding led the Mounties to their first AMCC victory of the season, on the road at Medaille on Saturday, as she produced a career-high 19 points while going 7-14 from the field, while also adding two three point field goals...Alfred State G Rayanna Anderson led the Pioneers with 32 points in a pair of games, as she was 6-for-15 from three and led the team with nine assists.
