PLAYER OF THE WEEK: D'Youville G Haley Kirisits had another big week for the Spartans, helping the women earn their first conference win of the season. On Wednesday against the reigning conference champion Hilbert Hawks, Kirisits led the team with 18 points in the 60-47 victory. She shot an outstanding 8-for-12 from the field in 38 minutes to go with three rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Then on Saturday in the 75-71 overtime loss to Keuka, Kirisits recorded her second double-double of the season with 14 points and 12 rebounds to go with three steals and two assists. The freshman currently leads the team with 11.5 points per game and 7.2 rebounds per game through six career games - five of which she has started. Her 46.7 FG% leads the team as well with Kirisits scoring double-figures in four of six games this season.

 

BEST OF THE REST: PS-Behrend F Ashley Seamon started in both games this week for the Lions, as she averaged 16.5 points along with seven rebounds and a 60.9% field goal percentage, including a career-high 18 points in a non-conference game against Allegheny...Mt. Aloysius G Hannah Kitko helped lead the Mounties to their first win of the season on Saturday while posting career highs in both points and rebounds, as she scored 14 points while going 4-5 from the field, including 2-3 from three point territory while also grabbing eight rebounds...Pitt-Greensburg G Colleen Murphy started both games for the Bobcats this past week, where she averaged 13.0 points, shot 41.7% from the field, and grabbed 3.5 rebounds, as she scored a season-high 19 points on 8-of-14 shooting and grabbed four rebounds against Grove City...PS-Altoona G Sarah Huston had a strong showing off the bench for the Lady Lions in a 1-1 week for her team, as she totaled 15 points -- including going 8-for-8 from the free throw line -- while also contributing four rebounds, two assists, and one steal in a comeback win over Bethany...Medaille G Katherine Willett played an impressive 40 minutes against Fredonia on Friday, as she scored a team-high 15 points, shooting 30% from beyond the arc, while also adding four rebounds and two steals...Hilbert G Taylor Corts scored eight points and grabbed 10 rebounds in a loss to D'Youville.
