PLAYER OF THE WEEK: PS-Altoona G/F Alexis Cannistraci got off to a great start for the Lady Lions, helping her team go 1-1 against a pair of PAC opponents. In Wednesday night's win at Geneva, she scored a team-high 23 points to go along with 12 rebounds, five steals, three assists, and two blocks. During Friday evening's loss to Saint Vincent, Cannistraci put up 18 points while adding five rebounds, three assists, and two steals. In two games last week, Cannistraci averaged 20.5 points per game, 8.5 rebounds per game, 3.5 steals per game, 3.0 assists per game, and 1.0 block per game. The junior shot 56.5% from the field, including 50% from three-point range. She also went 12-for-14 from the free throw line.

 

BEST OF THE REST: Pitt-Greensburg G Nadege Durand started all three games for the Bobcats to begin the 2019-20 season, as she tallied double-figures in all three contests where she averaged 13.7 points and 12.0 rebounds and helped guide the Bobcats to a 2-1 record where they posted victories over Thiel and the City College of New York...PS-Behrend G Caitlin Carnuche started and played in two games for the Lions this weekend in the Behrend Tip-Off Tournament, averaging 25.5 points per game and scoring a career-high 32 points on Friday evening against Cazenovia, she went 20-35 in the field and had nine three-pointers on the weekend...Medaille F Morgan Kennedy had a strong first week for the Mavericks, finishing the week fourth in the AMCC in scoring by averaging 17.3 points per game and fifth in the conference with 9.0 rebounds per game...D'Youville G Haley Kirisits began the week with a stellar 15-point, 15-rebound performance in the team's 73-61 win over Cazenovia on Tuesday, and then followed that up on Saturday at Roanoke with eight points and seven more rebounds and a steal. before adding a pair of points with two boards on Sunday against Centre...La Roche G Ayanna Mazyck is averaging 8.3 points per game and 7.7 rebounds per game (9th in AMCC), as she posted 21 points, 12 rebounds, eight steals, and four assists over two games at the John Carroll Tip-off Tournament, earning her a spot on the all-tournament team...Alfred State G Rayanna Anderson was big as the Pioneers used a big 4th quarter (13 points) to defeat Wells, Anderson finished the game with a double-double as she recorded 16 points and 10 assists...Pitt-Bradford F Jenna Hicks averaged 9.5 points and 11.5 rebounds per game at the Gwynedd Mercy Tip-off Tournament. In the first game of the tournament, she recorded a double double, scoring 18 points and grabbing 16 rebounds.
