PLAYER OF THE WEEK: PS-Altoona F Megan Wheeler had a huge week for the Lady Lions, helping them go 1-1 in AMCC play. In a tough overtime loss at Pitt-Greensburg on Wednesday night, she scored a career-high 30 points while grabbing 12 rebounds and blocking two shots. In a victory at Hilbert on Saturday afternoon, she put up 24 points to go along with 10 rebounds and another block. For the week, Wheeler averaged a double-double with 27.0 points per game and 11.0 rebounds per game, as well as 1.5 blocks per game and a 57.5% shooting percentage from the field.

 

BEST OF THE REST: Medaille F Dani Reinwald had another outstanding week for the Mavs, as they went 2-0 last week and now sit in a tie for third place in the conference, as she averaged 17.5 points and 17.5 rebounds per game, while also earning 11 steals and seven assists over two games...La Roche F Mackenzie O'Donnell averaged 18 points and six rebounds in two conference wins, scoring 22 points, hitting 9 of 12 shots to beat Penn State Behrend, and then adding 14 points and nine rebounds to hang on against Pitt-Bradford...Pitt-Bradford G Ali Rinfrette scored 35 points versus Hilbert, including hitting a school-record eight three-pointers, for her third 30-point game of the season...Mount Aloysius G Breana Kendrick led the Mounties to a 2-0 week by averaging 16.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.5 stelas per game, picking up victories over Franciscan and D'Youville...Hilbert G Taylor Corts averaged 13.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.0 block per game for the Hawks, as she shot 36.4 percent from the field and was a perfect 7-7 from the line for the week...PS-Berhend F Katie Chess led the Lions with a team-best 16 points on 8-for-8 shooting from the floor against La Roche, averaging 10.0 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists for the week.
