The Penn State Behrend (16-2, 10-0 AMCC) women's basketball team hosts the Pitt-Greensburg (13-4, 8-2 AMCC) Bobcats in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Game of the Week on Wednesday. Tip is set for 5 p.m.

Two games separate Behrend and Pitt-Greensburg in the AMCC standings. This matchup was the AMCC Game of the Week back on Jan. 17. Behrend sits on top at 10-0 with six conference games remaining. The Lions have won seven in a row and recently defeated Medaille on the road, 67-56. Senior guard Caitlin Carnuche registered her seventh game with 20 or more points on Saturday, as she led the Lions with 25 points and drained six three-pointers. Behrend is averaging 13.2 steals and forcing 14.6 turnovers in conference games this season.

Pitt-Greensburg comes into Wednesday’s matchup against Behrend winning six of its last eight conference games. In the first meeting of the season, the Bobcats held a six-point lead going into the fourth quarter. Melina Maietta and Nadege Durand led the way for UPG, combining for 50 points. Maietta tied a school-record with seven threes in a game, sharing the record with her coach, Kelsey Oddis. The game was close, where the lead changed four times and the game was tied seven times. Behrend pulled away in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Bobcats by 11 points in the final frame. 

The Lions and Bobcats played 16 days ago in the first meeting of the season with Behrend posting a 78-73 victory on Jan. 17. The all-time series between Behrend and Pitt-Greensburg began in 1987-88 with the Lions holding a 31-23 lead.
