The AMCC women's basketball game of the week features two of only four teams in the league without a conference loss so far in the young season. Penn State Behrend has started off 2-0 in conference play, while Pitt-Greensburg opened up with a 1-0 record.
The Lions have won two straight, defeating Alfred State College and Medaille College this past week, as both victories came with 20+ point margins. Sophomore guard Caitlin Carnuche leads the Lion attack with 17.5 points per game, tying for third in the conference. Carnuche has also been hot from long range, connecting on 48.5% of her attempted three-point shots. Sophomore forwards Alanna Dibble and Ashley Seamon rank third and fourth in the conference in rebounds per game with 9.8 and 9.7, respectively.
The Bobcats picked up a convincing 67-49 victory over Franciscan after dropping two non-conference games prior to that. Junior guard/forward Nadege Durand is tops in the conference with 10.8 rebounds per game, while also leading the Pitt-Greensburg offense with 12.7 points per game. Senior guard Colleen Murphy averages 10.5 points per game, as she has connected on 35.0% from three-point land.
