AMCC WOMEN'S BASKETBALL GAME OF THE WEEK: PS- ALTOONA @ PITT-GREENSBURG

AMCC Women's Basketball Game of the Week:
Penn State Altoona @ Pitt-Greensburg
Wednesday, February 5 at 8:00 p.m.

As we enter the month of February, basketball teams are starting to set their sights on the postseason and are trying to position themselves as best they can as they head into the playoffs. This week is no different, as Penn State Altoona (11-7, 9-5 AMCC) travels to Pitt-Greensburg (12-8, 10-5) on Wednesday evening for the AMCC Game of the Week. The Lady Lions currently sit in fifth place in conference standings, as the Bobcats are in fourth.

Penn State Altoona is led by a balanced offensive attack, as Alexis Cannistraci leads the way as the second-leading scorer in the conference with 17.4 points per game. Sydney Snyder and Finnley Christine aren't far behind her, with 13.4 and 13.2 points per game, respectively. Cannistraci is also tops in rebounding for the Lady Lions, grabbing 8.3 boards per game. Altoona picked up a big 30-point victory over Medaille on Saturday afternoon, after dropping two straight conference games before that. The Lady Lions rank first in the AMCC in points scored with 75.6.

Pitt-Greensburg is on a two-game win streak after picking up conference victories over Penn St. Behrend and Pitt-Bradford this past week. The Bobcats are led by Nadege Durand, who nearly averages a double-double with 14.2 points and 9.8 rebounds per game. Maddie Sitler also averages double digits, as she contributes 11.7 points per game, while Shaquoia McCray's 51.7 field goal percentage is fourth-best in the league. The Bobcats have been tough on the boards all season, as their 46.6 rebounds per game lead the AMCC.
