The Penn State Behrend (9-14, 7-9 AMCC) women's basketball team hosts Medaille College (9-14, 7-9 AMCC) in their final home game of the season for the AMCC Game of the Week on Wednesday at 6 p.m. The Lions and Mavericks, both with 7-9 conference records, are tied for the sixth and final playoff spot heading into the final week of the regular season.

Behrend has qualified for the AMCC tournament for the past three years, with an Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) appearance in 2016. They need to record wins over Medaille and Pitt-Bradford this week to guarantee a playoff spot. The Lions are coming off a 72-67 loss to Pitt-Greensburg on Saturday. After being down 40-18 after the first-half, the Lions got within four points of the Bobcats in the finals minute of play but were unable to erase the deficit. Kara Haslett was the leading scorer for Behrend dropping 20 points which tied her career-high, while Alanna Dibble finished with 14 points. Caitlin Carnuche leads the Lions this season with 10.4 points per game, while Dibble is right behind her with 10.0.

Medaille was on a five game winning streak before dropping back-to-back conference games to La Roche College on Saturday (88-58) and D'Youville College on Monday (84-71). Ranya Rumph led the team with a double-double off the bench with 16 points and 15 rebounds. Sophomore Katherine Willett is leading the AMCC in three-point percentage with 36.8%. Along with Willett, the team is ranked on top with a 30.6% from three. Guard Breanna Walker leads the team with 14.1 points per game, while Morgan Kennedy adds 12.6 per game.

Medaille is leading the all-time series 24-14 dating back to the 2000-01 season. The Lions defeated the Mavericks earlier this season by a score of 63-57, while the teams split the season match ups last year
