LA ROCHE'S JENNA COLE NAMED PLAYER OF THE YEAR AS WOMEN'S BASKETBALL ALL-CONFERENCE TEAM IS RELEASED

La Roche College junior forward Jenna Cole has been named the AMCC Player of the Year. Cole led the AMCC in scoring with 20.1 points per game and field goals, going to 131-for-280 from the floor. Cole was also fourth in free throws (68-for-84), free throw percentage (81.0%), and offensive rebounds (61). She also finished seventh in rebounding (141) and field goal percentage (46.8%) and eighth in three point percentage (33.8%). Cole was named the AMCC Player of the Week on January 27.

Hilbert College senior forward Katelyn Proy has been named the Defensive Player of the Year. Proy was the AMCC leader in total blocked shots (83) and blocks per game (3.3), with the next closest to her in blocks being 41 blocked shots away. Proy also finished the regular season fourth in the AMCC in defensive rebounds. Proy was named AMCC Player of the Week on February 18.

D'Youville College freshman point guard Danielle Hore has been tabbed as the Newcomer of the Year. Hore finished second in the AMCC in assists (5.7 apg), third in steals (2.6 spg) and rebounds (9.7 rpg), fourth in minutes (36.7 mpg), and sixth in scoring (14.7 ppg). She scored in double-figures in 23 of 25 games this season - including four games of 20-plus. Hore grabbed double-figure rebounds in 11 games with six of those games of 14 or more rebounds. Hore's standout freshman campaign included eight double-doubles and three near triple-doubles. She was named AMCC Player of the Week twice.

La Roche head coach Kamela Gissendanner picks up her third Coach of the Year honors. Gissendanner led the Redhawks to a 15-3 conference record and a regular season title.
