HILBERT WOMEN TO FACE THE COLLEGE OF NEW JERSEY IN NCAA TOURNAMENT

The Hilbert College (21-6) women's basketball team made program history when they won their first AMCC title on Sunday afternoon by defeating Mount Aloysius College (17-8) 76-52.

The Hawks will travel to Ewing, NJ on Friday, March 2 to take on The College of New Jersey (21-6) in the first round of the 2018 NCAA Division III National Tournament. TCNJ earned an at-large bid after falling to Monclair State 58-51 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) championship game.

Senior Kelsi Ebert led the Hawks to the AMCC title by scoring 24 points, while adding six rebounds, six steals and six assists in the championship game. 
Sophomore forward Ashley Repine notched her seventh double-double striking for 21 points and 12 rebounds and closed with four blocks in 36 minutes of action.  

TCNJ is led by Jen Byrne who averages 17.8 points per game and Shannon Devitt who adds 10.0 points and 9.6 rebounds per game.

The Hilbert/TCNJ winner will advance to play the Rochester Institute of Technology/University of New England winner in a second round game on Saturday night for a spot in the sweet sixteen.
