HILBERT'S EBERT SETS NEW STANDARD IN HAWKS' WOMEN'S BASKETBALL PROGRAM

Hilbert College senior guard Kelsi Ebert established a new standard in the women's basketball program earlier this season.  She shot herself into the #1 spot in the Hawks record book for the third time in her career.

The 5-7 guard became the Hawks' all-time leading scorer in the 4th quarter of Hilbert's come-back win at Altoona.  The Frontier product scored 14 of the team's 26 points in the fourth quarter and finished with 22 points, five assists and two steals.

Not only did she become the program's all time leader in points (1,101) last weekend, she climbed to #1 in assists (296) earlier this season after jumping to #1 in steals (200) during her junior campaign.

Ebert continues to lead the AMCC in assists (5.5 apg) and is ninth in scoring (14.6 ppg).

The 2017-18 women's basketball team has also broken a few records this season.  The Hawks improved to 12-5 overall and, at 10-1, are sitting in first place in the AMCC league.

On Wednesday, January 17, the team broke the old Hilbert AMCC win record (was 8) after they swept the series against Pitt-Bradford.   And then three days later, the Hawks established a new Division III Win Record total (12) after their road win over Altoona.

Hilbert leads the league in defensive points allowed, limiting their opponents to just 55.7 points per game behind a league-best 33.3% defensive field goal effort and 38.8 rebounds allowed.  The Hawks are ranked second in field goal percentage offense (38.3%), first in blocks (4.4 bpg) and share the lead in fouls committed per game (15.5).
