The Penn State Behrend (8-11, 7-5 AMCC) women's basketball team will be traveling to Medaille College (9-10, 8-4 AMCC) Wednesday evening to take on the Mavericks in the AMCC women's basketball Game of the Week.  As we enter the final weeks of the regular season, the Lions sit in fourth place while the Mavs are in third, and both teams are fighting for prime playoff seeding.

Behrend is led by freshman forward Katie Chess who tops the Lions with 11.9 points per game and is fifth in the conference 8.5 rebounds per game. Junior guard Erika Woll averages 9.2 points while sophomore forward Heidi Langhorst averages 8.8 points and 5.5 rebounds.

The Mavericks have been enjoying the sweet return of junior forward Dani Reinwald, who began at Medaille as freshman, played at Penn State Behrend the past year and a half, and has now returned to Medaille mid-year this season. Since her return to Medaille, she has been dominating both ends of the floor, as she is averaging 16.3 points and 17.3 rebounds per game, as well as a total of 30 steals and 23 blocks. In addition, senior guard Kelli McCauley is third in the conference with 18.1 points per game. Senior guard MarceAnn Dunning rounds out the double-figure scoring with 16.4 points per game and also leads the team with 52 steals and 25 blocks.

Medaille defeated Behrend in their first meeting this season, 74-60.
