    The La Roche College women's basketball team has drawn defending National Champion Thomas More College in an NCAA First Round Game on Friday night.

    La Roche's TiChina Mitchell averaged 27.5 points and 10 rebounds and 3 assists in two tournament games as the Lady Redhawks went on to win their sixth straight AMCC Championship. She scored 26 points in La Roche's 96-47 victory over D'Youville in the Semifinals before a 29 point, 14 rebound and 5 assist output in their 82-59 win over Pitt-Bradford in the championship game. Mitchell also went a perfect 14 for 14 from the free throw line.

    Rinfrette had her best performance statistically over a two-game span, averaging 34.5 points per game and 11 rebounds per game. She scored 34 points and added 11 rebounds in a win over Medaille and then added 35 points and 11 rebounds per game in a loss at Mt. Aloysius. Rinfrette is currently tied for first in scoring in the AMCC, averaging 21.6 ppg.

    Smith was a dominating force for the Spartans this past week, leading her team to a 2-0 record and sole possession of sixth place in the AMCC. On Wednesday against Medaille, Smith scored a team high 23 points in 32 minutes and shot 55% (11-20) from the field. She added eight rebounds in the team's 79-71 defeat of the Mavericks. On Saturday against Mount Aloysius, Alexis took her game to another level scoring a season high 26 points in the team's 70-67 win. Smith grabbed another eight rebounds and played 35 minutes. Smith has scored 22-plus points in three of her last four games.

    Owens hit the game-winning shot in a key AMCC victory over Penn State Behrend in the AMCC Game of the Week. She averaged 17.5 points per game and seven boards per game, leading UPB to a 2-0 week with victories over Behrend and Pitt-Greensburg. Owens finished with 17 points and eight rebounds against Behrend while posting 18 points and six boards in the Panthers' victory over Pitt-Greensburg.

    Rogers collected her 14th and 15th double-doubles last week. She averaged 13 points, while shooting 46% from the floor, 13.3 rebounds, and two assists in a 1-2 week for the Hawks. In one-point loss to Medaille, Rogers recorded 19 points and 21 boards. Rogers currently leads the AMCC with 13.1 rebounds per game.

    McLin had another stellar week averaging 23.5 points, 6 steals, 3.5 assists, 3 rebounds per game, while shooting 70% from the field in two conference wins. She scored 29 points and had 8 steals against Pitt-Greensburg and followed that up shooting 88% against Pitt-Bradford. McLin leads the AMCC in scoring with 21.9 points per game.

    Senior guard Iliana Gonzales became the fastest Lady Baron to reach 1,000 career points as the Franciscan women's basketball team beat Medaille College 80-70 for the team's second consecutive win.
