PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Geneva OH Peter Barbato led the Golden Tornadoes to two big conference wins over the weekend to solidify a second place finish the AMCC. In four games on the week, he had 64 kills (4.27 k/s) on a .258 hitting percentage, including 20 kills (5.0 k/s) on a .444 hitting percentage in an important win at Penn State Altoona on Saturday. He also added 53 digs (3.53 d/s), including a career-high 19 digs against Altoona, and eight blocks (0.53 b/s). He now leads the AMCC with 348 kills and 3.55 k/s.  Barbato recorded 76.0 points on the week, for an average of 5.1 points per set. 

 

BEST OF THE REST: Medaille S/L/OH Kevin Cashdollar averaged 9.3 assists per set, 0.8 aces per set, and 0.3 blocks per set, while also totaling two kills, 93 assists, eight aces, 16 digs, and three blocks in a 1-2 week for the Mavs...PS-Behrend OH JP Goodsel registered a career-high 26 kills for a 6.50 average per set to go with 13 digs for the double-double to lead the Lions past Altoona to secure the AMCC regular-season championship and the No. 1 seed for upcoming playoffs, as the double-double was his sixth of the season...Hiram OH Tom Supan helped Hiram men's volleyball go a perfect 3-0 on the week as the team didn't drop a set over their three games, as he totaled 28 kills, 22 digs, 3.11 kills per set and a .303 hitting percentage...PS-Altoona OH/RS Philip Silva had a huge week for the Lions in four matches, facing AMCC opponents Mount Aloysius, Penn State Behrend, and Geneva while also taking on No. 13 ranked non-conference opponent Marymount, as he totaled 64.5 points (5.0 points per set), 57 kills (4.38 kills per set), 25 digs (1.92 digs per set), six total blocks (0.46 blocks per set), and three service aces (0.23 aces per set), with his 25 kills against Geneva on Saturday tying a Penn State Altoona men's volleyball single match record.
