The AMCC men's volleyball Game of the Week features Penn State Altoona (7-2) at Thiel College (5-3) on Saturday afternoon. 

Penn State Altoona men’s volleyball enters this Saturday’s match at Thiel College in a tie for the second-best conference record in the AMCC at 7-2. The Lions’ offense has been leading the way for the team thus far, as Penn State Altoona comes into this weekend’s matches ranked second in the AMCC in kills per set (11.0), attack percentage (.197), assists per set (10.1), and points per set (14.1). Sophomore outsides Jared Bodisch and Philip Silva rank in the top 15 in the conference in kills per set, as Silva is 10th in the league with 2.79 kills per set and Bodisch is 15th with 2.31, and both players are also tied for fifth in the conference in service aces per set (0.40). Sophomore middle Jared Kish leads the AMCC in hitting percentage, swinging at a .392 clip while ranking 20th in kills per set (1.93), and sophomore middle/right side Trey Sadler is 18th in the AMCC in kills per set (1.98). Sophomore setter Connor Baker has been effective distributing the ball in Penn State Altoona’s offense, as he leads the AMCC in assists per set (8.74) and ranks second in total assists (507). Defensively, senior libero Micah Brinker ranks sixth in the AMCC in digs per set (2.16) and sophomore middle Connor Ebersole is fifth in blocks per set (0.79) and seventh in total blocks (45).

The Thiel College Tomcats enter the weekend at 5-3 in the AMCC, good for fifth in the conference. During their current three-game winning streak, the Tomcats earned two sweeps against Saint Vincent College and Medaille College, and topped Hiram College 3-2 in five sets. Junior OH Zac Smith and freshman OPP JC Govannucci lead the Tomcats with 2.89 and 2.42 kills per set, respectively, good for seventh and 12th in the AMCC. Freshman L Ricky Castillo ranks second in the AMCC with 2.56 digs per set, while freshman L Brandon Millias has tallied 7.33 assists per set, good for third in the conference
